Seattle bands In Cahoots, Furniture Girls, Verlee For Ransom and Afraid of Figs will take the stage Saturday, November 12 at the High Dive (513 North 36th St # G, Seattle, WA 98103) from 4:00pm – 8:00pm and to Rock Out for Animals: A Benefit for the Seattle Humane Society. The bands hope to raise $3,000. Tickets are $15 (this is a +21 event), and can be purchased HERE or at the door on the day of the benefit.
Christina Cramer, singer and guitarist for In Cahoots, is the brainchild behind Rock Out for Animals. Having previously been a volunteer at the Seattle Humane Society, she saw how much everyone at the organization makes due with sometimes limited resources. Christina decided to mix her love for animals and rock and roll together, and raise money for the Seattle Humane Society by throwing a benefit concert with three of her favorite Seattle bands. She’s even recruited the talents of her dog Milo (adopted from the Seattle Humane Society) to accept donations, and probably give lots of kisses, at the benefit.
Babeland, Mud Bay, Rudy’s Barbershop, Madame Lazonga’s Tattoo, Hothouse Spa, Taste of India, Half Price Books, and Portage Bay Goods have donated some of their products and services to be raffled off at the show. The first 10 people at the benefit will receive a free raffle ticket.
