Best Halloween Events for Pets

From Wiener Races to walks to costume contests and Halloween pet parties, there’s lots for you and your pet to do to celebrate this October! Here are some of our favorites.

Oktoberfest Northwest Wiener Dog Races

Alongside Oktoberfest Northwest activities will be Wiener Dog races, Costume Contest, Longest Wiener, kids coloring table, Bone stacking, and more! All day event! Only Dachshunds will be allowed inside the venue and only in designated areas of the showplex. The Wiener Dog Races benefit Dachshund Rescue across the NW. Come dressed in your favorite Halloween costume and enjoy a beautiful walk at Pierce County Parks and Recreation’s Woof Woof Walk! The Woof Woof Walk takes you on the paved trails along with Pierce County K-9 for either the 1.5 mile or 3 mile route. Both routes are on paved trails that provide a flat, easy walk suitable for families and people of all abilities. Prizes will be awarded in the canine costume contest. Plus registered participants will be entered into the
‘ruffle drawing.’ Proceeds benefit Pierce County Parks and Recreation’s youth programs. Click HERE to register.

There will be a costume contest (for dogs and their owners!), lots of animal vendors and other pets to meet. The Edmonds off-leash dog park now has a play place for smaller pups, an agility course and lots of fun activities for the annual Halloween Howl party!

Time for your pug to come up with his or her best costume idea and compete for treats in a costume contest. It’s the premier costume party for pugs in the Northwest. Of course, all pugs (costumed or not) are welcome, as are pug mixes and people who love pugs (even if you don’t have one).
