Since 1978, Seattle has enjoyed the beautiful “Festival of Trees”, a display of beautifully decorated Christmas trees, each with its own unique theme and style.
You can see the trees displayed at The Fairmont Olympic Hotel in downtown Seattle starting at 12:00pm on Saturday, November 17 and continuing through Wednesday, November 28. A stroll through the trees marks the beginning of the holiday season for many local families. Each tree is dedicated to a courageous Seattle Children’s patient and is available for pre-purchase or bid! The 2012 trees are pictured on the Festival of Trees website. You may purchase a tree for $4,000 for your home or office. Each tree is valued at $2,000 and the difference is tax-deductible.
Festival of Trees raises funds for uncompensated care, which allows Seattle Children’s Hospital to provide quality medical care to all children of the Region regardless of a family’s ability to pay.
The Festival of Trees Gala will be on Saturday, November 17. It’s a wine-paired dinner and live auction featuring four fully decorated Christmas Trees and many exclusive silent auction items. Tickets and more information are available HERE. Proceeds will benefit pediatric cancer research and uncompensated care at Seattle Children’s Hospital.
Plus, the Fairmont Olympic Hotel is offering a special Festival of Trees menu in their beautiful Georgian Room. Order this delicious three-course dinner between Tuesday, November 20 and Thursday, December 20, and they will donate 10% of the meal price to Seattle Children’s Hospital.
